The app never got finished
A builder needs a builder. PaprPlain arrives built from your file — you only check it.
PaprPlain vs AppSheet
Google AppSheet is a no-code app builder that sits on a spreadsheet. PaprPlain is a finished workspace for the records a small business already keeps.
The short answer
AppSheet gives you an editor and expects someone to design the app. PaprPlain skips that: it reads the file you keep and builds the connected workspace — customers, orders, stock, payments and staff — with nothing to learn, from ₹599$7 a month for the complete product.
Line by line
What AppSheet does was read from their own public pricing page on 18 September 2026. These things move — check theirs as well as ours before you decide.
| AppSheet | PaprPlain | |
|---|---|---|
| What the product is | A no-code app builder, usually on a Google Sheet | A hosted product for the connected records of a small business |
| What comes back | An app you design in their editor | A finished workspace for you to check |
| How it is priced | Per user, per month. Core is included in most paid Google Workspace plans | ₹599$7 for one, ₹1,999$22 for up to ten, ₹5,999$64 unlimited |
| Who looks after it | Whoever designed the app | Nobody needs to — change a stage or a check in plain words |
| Getting your data back out | The sheet or database the app is pointed at | Any table as CSV or Excel, whenever you want |
Deciding
What changes when the workspace is built for you, rather than by you.
A builder needs a builder. PaprPlain arrives built from your file — you only check it.
An order knows its customer, and its total adds itself up. Nothing to wire together.
Set the stages once and a job cannot skip one. Checks stop a wrong entry as it is typed.
₹1,999$22 a month for up to ten people together, not a licence for each person who opens it.

Questions
For one particular job, yes. Both can begin with a spreadsheet. Google AppSheet is a no-code builder: you (or someone you hire) design the app on top of the sheet — views, forms, automations. PaprPlain is a narrower finished product for the records a small business runs on. It reads the file, builds the connected tables, screens, totals and checks for you to check, asking first only where the data could mean two things. There is no app editor to learn. PaprPlain starts at ₹599$7 a month.
It turns on whether somebody will build the app. In a business of five to twenty people there usually is nobody, and a builder becomes a half-finished app nobody owns. PaprPlain builds the workspace out of the file you already keep, so it is working the day you bring it. It is ₹1,999$22 a month for up to ten people together, rather than a licence for each person who opens it.
Yes. The records are usually still in the Google Sheet or Excel file the app was reading — bring that file, or connect the sheet, and the workspace is built from it. The screens and automations you designed are not in the data, so tell us what they did on the call and we will set up the equivalent with you.
Not today — PaprPlain works online, and the screens are built for a phone, with photos and documents kept on the row they belong to. If scanning or working without signal matters to you, tell us what you need it for on the call; what customers ask for is what we build next.
Send us the file you keep today. On a half-hour call we build your workspace out of it and you decide from there — 7 days free, nothing to install.
